1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and accessing the BalancePoint workspace, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not register or use the platform.

These terms apply to all users of BalancePoint, including administrators, case reviewers, financial analysts, and solicitors.

2. Workspace access

Access to BalancePoint is granted on a role-based basis. Each user is assigned one of the following roles at the time of registration:

  • Case reviewer — read and annotation access to assigned cases, statements, and transaction records.
  • Financial analyst — access to bank statement imports, transaction categorisation, and financial schedules.
  • Solicitor — access to Form E workflows, offer management, and amendment requests.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with any other person. Any activity conducted under your account is your responsibility.

BalancePoint reserves the right to suspend or revoke access at any time if these terms are breached or if access is no longer required.

3. Confidentiality

All information processed within BalancePoint — including bank statements, transaction data, financial schedules, offers, and Form E content — is strictly confidential. By registering, you agree to:

  • Handle all case data with the highest degree of professional discretion.
  • Not disclose, copy, or distribute any case information outside of the authorised workflow.
  • Access only the cases and records you have been explicitly authorised to review.
  • Promptly report any suspected unauthorised access or data disclosure to your workspace administrator.

These obligations survive termination of your account and remain in force indefinitely unless a supervising solicitor or court order provides otherwise.

4. Data use and storage

BalancePoint processes personal and financial data in connection with divorce proceedings and financial settlement analysis. By using the platform you acknowledge that:

  • Data entered or uploaded is stored securely and accessed only by authorised workspace members.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload has been obtained lawfully and that you have the right to process it in this context.
  • Data retention periods are governed by the applicable case and regulatory requirements; workspace administrators may configure retention settings accordingly.
